“From the moment of enquiring about the place to the moment we left, Anthony and his wife were extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet. The accommodation is impeccable and have everything that you can think of as well as additional touches on arrival; cake, tea and coffee.
All of the rooms are set up beautifully and its ideal by being all on one level. The rural setting offers peace and tranquillity when watching the deer and wandering down to the beach to watch the sunset as the tide comes in but also offers the opportunity to explore the Lake District. Simply perfect.”

“ What a perfect place!
Location is great, with easy access to everywhere we wanted to go, including beaches, walks, The Lakes, The Dales, Manchester and Lancaster. The flat is perfect for adults holidaying together as there are three equal-sized bedrooms, each with an ensuite. Communication with Tony was easy and we appreciated the wine, coffee and tea on arrival.

“We had a lovely stay at Corncrake Cottage. The place was comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Anthony was a great host - helpful and hospitable.
The cottage is in a pretty area within walking distance of the coast - great for walking and cycling (you need to go further afield to swim). It was easy to make day trips to the Lake District from here.”

“Silverdale and the surrounding area is a beautiful, tranquil part of the country, close enough to visit all the Lakes but far enough away to escape all the tourists and thus also enjoy the quietness of a country setting.
The cottage was absolutely spotless and of a very high standard, as good as any top-notch hotel. Beautiful furnishings with a home-from-home feeling.
Tony was most helpful and attended promptly to our requests. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

“The house is very nicely situated with a lovely view over the sea. Everything was very easy and communication with Anthony was great! The place is very spacious and clean. Also, very well-equipped. We very much enjoyed going to the local pub the Silverdale Hotel where they were very friendly, had tasty beer and fabulous coffee. We also travelled to nearby Arnside, which is a great little town.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Silverdale. Tony was an excellent and friendly host who quickly responded to any questions we had. The cottage itself is fabulous with a very well-equipped kitchen, exceptionally comfy beds and perfect for a comfortable getaway.
Fresh flowers and complimentary wine as well as coffee and tea were a very nice touch. If you like peaceful surroundings, with access to some stunning walks, this is the place to be. We had a very relaxing lunch outside in the BBQ area one afternoon, taking in the beautiful surroundings. would definitely recommend.”
